Hi everyone, just a reminder that the AGM is on Saturday 26th October. There are a number of people who are retiring from the committee this year after a considerable number of years service.

The club needs an injection of new blood onto the committee to keep it delivering the service you deserve.

It’s particularly interesting when I hear new ideas mooted in casual conversations like ‘Why on earth isn’t there a cafe here, the club could earn a fortune’ or ‘Why don’t we have a winch on the slip? Often I hear complaints like ‘No one has turned up for duty again!’ and ‘Why hasn’t the club organised something this weekend, it’s perfect for sailing!’

The one I particularly hate is when people complain that a committee member isn’t doing enough……at least they’re doing something!

So come on folks, apply to join the committee and help the club continue to succeed. You can apply for any post on committee, just get someone to propose and second you. 

Remember folks, it’s your club and if you want these ideas to work you need to turn up and do your bit.
