Support Our Neighbours

Soon it will be our Rally weekend when we hope we will be hosts to loads of visiting boats.  With this in mind it is also good for us to support other clubs so I would like to draw your attention to the weekend of 9/10th June when Chepstow YC are holding their regatta.  To visit St Pierre Pill (Chepstow YC) offers a great chance for ‘novices’ to try out a bit of cruising.  It takes about 2 hours to sail from Lydney to St Pierre and you still have time to reach the pontoons when you arrive (so no waiting for tides).  St Pierre offers good camping facilities, (toilet and running water available) and level grassed areas to pitch tents on.  Entertainment will be provided by CYC saturday evening so why not give it a go?  This is a great opportunity for Wayfarer and Lugger owners to try out the thrills of open boat cruising; I thoroughly recommend doing this event and it should provide a few sailing challenges and lots of fun.

GIVE IT A GO….BOATS BIG AND SMALL!

As always advice is available from myself or Annabel.
