My ugly mug is likely to be in the local papers based on my scheme to get the canal opened up to the railway. It looks like there is funding available to get the swing bridge operational and hopefully more for the dredging. We just need to get volunteers together to help clear the warf area and open a path to the canal.

Sounds like an interesting project to open up the canal. Obviously linked to the tearoom proposal to create a promising regeneration of the ‘docks’ area.
It would be very usefull to have an on-site meeting to see first hand the work required and collect ideas of how it may be achieved. Volunteeering individuals or groups could then be assigned certain areas of responsibility according to their skills and abilities.
